Malaga gained 5th place in a recent list ranking the top 10 cities in Spain with the best culture offerings.

Spain is known worldwide for its rich cultural heritage, top-quality gastronomic scene and some of the world's finest architecture and monuments. Surveyed by a new German vacation rentals platform Holidu, cities were ranked according to the number of cultural landmarks located in each, and the favourable ranking of Malaga, beating cities like Granada and Bilbao, further confirms its growth in popularity in recent years.

Rivalled only by the nations largest cities Barcelona and Madrid, and its most historically treasured, Valencia and Sevilla, Malaga has become a new focal point for culture seekers in the southern region of Spain.

Packed with stunning monuments including a Roman amphitheatre, the century old Gibralfaro Castle and 13th century Alcazaba - Malaga is also home to some of the most world renowned museums like the Picasso Museum, and the Pompidou. The closest city to the famous tourist hot-spot, the Costa del Sol is among Spain's most international and diverse cities in the country with a continuously improving infrastructure and a seemingly expanding global allure.
