REAL Madrid Football star Isco Alarcón to build gourmet food market in Benalmadena

Football player for REAL Madrid, Isco Alarcón, has announced plans to transform an existing commercial centre in Benalmadena into a gourmet food market.

Located in Arroyo de la Miel, Alarcón has purchased the entire upper floor as well as a number of small properties on the ground floor of the San Juan commercial centre.

Arroyo de La Miel is a busy commercial town centre that separates the pueblo from the sea front. Due in part to an excellent train service running between Fuengirola and Malaga, as well as good road connection, the area has grown rapidly over the years. Arroyo offers a wide variety of local shops, services, one of the largest man-made parks on the Coast, Parque de Paloma as well as the biggest amusement park, Tivoli World.

Home to a variety and number of excellent restaurants, five of which we feature, the gourmet food market will be the first of its kind in Benalmadena. The business venture is Alracon's personal tribute to the town he grew up in, as he hopes to further boost the town’s budding economy.

While full details of the business plan have yet to be confirmed, Alarcón’s representatives are currently in talks with the town hall and the Junta de Andalucía about the possibilities of refurbishing the commercial centre into a gourmet market with various shops across the two floors.
