Estepona hotel to receive €150m makeover and converted into luxury all-inclusive resort

Award-winning Ikos Resorts have announced plans to invest 150 million euros into renovating The Princess Hotel in Estepona to open a brand new all-inclusive complex.

Launching in May of 2020, Ikos Andalucia will be a welcome addition to an already thriving area that has seen a significant increase in investment over the last 3 years, including Nobu Hotel Marbella.

The new resort will have more than 400 rooms and suites across seven buildings, 70,000 square meters of gardens facilities and direct access to the beach. It will also have eight restaurants, dine-out options and offer a range of leisure and sports facilities, including an in-house theatre, indoor and outdoor 4,000 square meter swimming pools and spa.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Ikos Resorts said, "Estepona has always been a destination of reference for travellers who seek the perfect combination of sun, sea, a unique lifestyle and culture. We are pleased to present in Spain our exclusive all-inclusive experience and the promise of an incredible Infinite Lifestyle".

The company expects to hire local employees for 70% of the approximate 650 new jobs that will be created before and after launch. Ikos Andalucia is the fifth resort of its kind for the company, with three resorts in Greece and the forthcoming openings of Ikos Dassia, on the Island of Corfu (Greece) in May 2018, and Ikos Aria, on the Island of Kos (Greece) in 2019.
