Costa del Sol Hospital wins award for best in Spain

The Spanish government has granted Marbella's Costa del Sol Hospital an award for best in the country.

Recognised for its premium service, the 400-bed public health centre won the award in the 'Best Hospital' category out of 135 other hospitals across Spain. Andalusian Health Minister Marina Álvarez applauded the health professionals who run and work at the hospital for their work and service to the local community, saying "These staff have shown through their commitment to our services that everyone is entitled to universal and equal healthcare".

The government award is now in its 12th year and seeks to recognise the achievements of Spain's healthcare service and to further enhance standards across the country.

Two other hospitals in Marbella deserve recognition for their services, facilities and customer care; USP Marbella Hospital and Hospital Estepona. All three hospitals are compatible with a variety of health insurance coverage and are equipped with the latest technology, modern facilities and highly trained staff. Most hospitals and health centres on the Costa del Sol are also used to assisting foreign patients and offer a range of translation services as well as multi-lingual medical professionals among their personnel.
